  • Varo’s Banking Analytics team is responsible for providing advanced quantitative analysis and actionable insights on customers and products in consumer banking and payments.
  • The team focuses on optimizing customer onboarding and uncovering drivers to deepen customer engagement throughout the customer lifecycle.
  • As a Sr. Data Analyst, you will partner with colleagues across product, marketing, engineering, finance, and operations to analyze data from all parts of Varo’s business.
  • You will conduct data analysis using advanced analytical and statistical approaches to make impactful business recommendations.
  • A deep understanding of customer usage of banking products is required, along with insights into key metrics that drive the company.
  • You will analyze payments data at a transaction level to identify levers for improving transaction processing while balancing customer benefits and risks.
  • Responsibilities include creating and automating reports, building and prototyping dashboards, and providing analytical support for critical initiatives and new business opportunities.
  • You will effectively communicate key findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in an analytical role, providing business analysis, developing dashboards, and presenting results to leadership is required.
  • Expertise in SQL for at least 4 years is necessary, along with proficiency in Tableau or other BI tools; experience with R/Python is a significant plus.
  • You must have experience articulating business questions, scripting with SQL/Python to extract data, and applying quantitative techniques to solve complex problems.
  • Familiarity with banking and/or payments processing, experimentation, consumer product analytics, and measuring ROI of initiatives is essential.
  • A proven track record of successfully communicating data-driven insights is required.
  • A solid understanding of statistical analysis and exceptional problem-solving skills are necessary.
  • You should possess strong business judgment and the ability to work independently with a high bias for action.

Benefits:

  • The salary range for this position is between $140,000 and $170,000 per year, based on function, level, and geographic location.
  • Final offer amounts will be determined by multiple factors, including candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the identified range.
