  • NBCUniversal is seeking a passionate cloud data expert for the Data and Analytics Team (D&A) to participate in their journey to the cloud.
  • The role reports to the AI Governance Engineering Manager and focuses on driving product usability and innovation within the Data Analytics space.
  • The D&A team supports NBCU’s diverse portfolio of brands, including broadcast, cable, news, streaming services, sports networks, film studios, and theme parks.
  • Responsibilities include building Cloud Tagging frameworks, developing a robust program for D&A Cloud management frameworks, and working on Cloud Usage reporting.
  • The position involves automation solutions for Cloud usage, Snowflake optimizations, coordinating cloud issue resolution, and communicating with leadership on Cloud usage trends.
  • The role requires collaboration with the D&A team on Cloud IAM & Role Management and adherence to NBCU security guidelines.
  • The Senior Cloud Governance Engineer will also participate in the forecasting process and work on building Cloud Governance policies and documentation.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of hands-on experience, including at least 1+ years in the Snowflake Cloud environment.
  • Experience is required across Snowflake and Cloud-based databases, particularly in IAM & Role Management.
  • Candidates should have experience with Snowflake Data Sharing, Cloning, Data Exchange, and DR replication features.
  • Proficiency in AWS, Databricks, and Python is necessary, along with experience in GIT development and deployment of data processes.
  • A detailed understanding of AWS, GCP, Azure, and Snowflake resources is essential.
  • Candidates should have experience with Linux & Windows environments and proven expertise in Cloud operational monitoring and administration.
  • Experience with high-volume data processing using relevant cloud technologies and BI tools is required.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills are necessary, along with advanced SQL and Microsoft Office skills.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, along with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
