Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of experience as a data engineer.
  • Proficiency in writing high-quality Python code is required, with Java being a plus.
  • A strong track record of delivering impactful data projects is essential.
  • Experience in building robust, fault-tolerant data pipelines with solid logging, alerting, and data validation is necessary.
  • Hands-on experience in designing and implementing data warehouses using modern cloud databases like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Databricks is required.
  • Expertise in SQL-based data modeling with a focus on governance and enabling self-service using a development framework such as DBT is needed.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau is a plus.
  • Experience working with sensitive data in a healthcare or similarly regulated environment is important.
  • Candidates should have a thoughtful approach to balancing quality and deadlines in fast-paced settings.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build consensus and alignment are required.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to distill complex problems into clear priorities are essential.

Benefits:

  • The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is $142,000 to $196,000, with placement depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
  • The role may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
