Adswerve is seeking a Senior Data Engineer 2 for their Technical Services team, which is not a typical engineering role but requires a blend of analytical skills, client-facing communication, and a passion for data purity, big data analysis, and machine learning.
The ideal candidate should have a background in data engineering, a desire to mentor others, and the ability to solve complex data challenges for clients.
Responsibilities include developing and managing applications for analytics pipelines, auditing existing datasets, working with senior team members to identify data models, and optimizing user experiences and business outcomes using predictive modeling.
The role involves coordinating with internal and client data engineering teams, developing Big Data capabilities in the cloud, building data pipelines from various digital marketing platforms, and creating data warehouses.
The candidate will manage technical projects, provide mentorship to junior team members, support digital analytics implementations, collaborate with Google Engineers, and translate complex concepts to various audiences.
The position offers career growth in either a tech focus or a client/people focus.
Requirements:
Candidates should have 3-5 years of experience as a Senior Data Engineer or in a related role.
A college degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related field is preferred, or successful completion of a code school program combined with experience in data engineering.
Advanced skills in SQL, Python, and JavaScript are required, along with experience in Google BigQuery or Google Cloud Platform (GCP), AWS, or Azure tools.
Candidates should have familiarity with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks like React.
Proven problem-solving abilities, experience mentoring junior team members, and the ability to listen to business needs are essential.
Strong teamwork skills and the ability to manage and prioritize individual workloads are necessary.
A strong desire to become a proficient Data Engineer in a fast-paced company is expected.

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $170,000 per year, based on training and experience.
