The Sr Engineer I, Data will design, develop, and optimize data-driven solutions that impact critical healthcare outcomes.
This role involves working with cross-functional teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance database architectures.
The engineer will mentor junior engineers and ensure best practices are followed.
Responsibilities include designing, developing, and testing software applications, as well as collecting, analyzing, and transforming data for IT and analytics solutions.
The position requires troubleshooting medium-complexity issues for major software applications and proactively reviewing design alternatives.
The engineer will build strong internal and external partnerships with peers, stakeholders, and decision-makers.
The role requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, along with 3+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or related roles.

Proficiency with Python, SQL, Spark, Databricks, and AWS is necessary.
Hands-on experience with ETL data pipelines and implementing data modeling solutions using relational, dimensional, and NoSQL databases is required.
Knowledge of database architecture testing methodologies, including creating and executing test plans, debugging, and using testing scripts/tools is essential.
Familiarity with Big Data file formats such as Parquet and Delta Lake is needed.
Experience with Agile development tools, including JIRA and Confluence, is required.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and technical communication skills are necessary.
The ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment is essential.
