Description:

  • Reliable Robotics is building safety-enhancing technology for aviation that aims to save lives and transform air transportation.
  • The Flight Software Engineer will automate the operation of complex aircraft systems and be involved in the development and certification of the autonomy stack.
  • Responsibilities include developing deterministic C++ software in a bare metal environment, working with sensors and control systems, handling system faults, and integrating with vehicle subsystems.
  • The engineer will drive requirements, implement unit tests, and have opportunities to work with flight hardware, plan flight testing, and see their code in action.
  • The role requires willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • The estimated salary range for this position is $145,500 to $220,000 annually, plus cash and stock option awards and benefits.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Aerospace, or equivalent experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 7+ years of professional experience with C or C++.
  • Professional experience in developing software for embedded or high-performance applications is necessary.
  • The ability to work in a self-directed manner in a fast-paced environment is essential.
  • Preferred qualifications include a thorough understanding of computer architecture, operating systems, and networking.
  • Experience with DO-178C and developing software for safety-critical applications is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also desired.
