Description:

• Zapier is seeking a Senior Full Stack Engineer with a frontend leaning to join their Agents Team, which is developing an AI-powered automation assistant called Zapier Agents.
• The role involves taking the product from prototype to a reliable, production-scale experience.
• Responsibilities include designing and building features for task delegation and workflow orchestration using natural language, contributing to backend systems, refining user-facing features, and collaborating with AI and platform teams.
• The engineer will own projects from scoping and architecture to implementation, testing, and support, while also improving developer experience and deployment pipelines.
• The position is fully remote and aims to shape the future of AI-driven automation.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in building and maintaining production web applications, including at least 2 years in a senior-level role.
• Experience is required across the stack, specifically with React, TypeScript, and Next.js on the frontend, and Python or Node.js on the backend.
• Applicants should be comfortable designing and consuming REST APIs, managing state, and handling real-time user interactions.
• Familiarity with LLM-powered systems, semantic search, or AI orchestration frameworks is a plus.
• Experience with modern backend infrastructure such as PostgreSQL, Redis, and Kafka/SQS is necessary.
• Candidates should demonstrate curiosity, pragmatism, and clarity in fast-evolving environments.
• A user- and outcome-oriented mindset is essential, focusing on building the right solutions.
• Experience with AI tooling is preferred, or a willingness to learn quickly is required.
