  • The role focuses on machine learning, with engineers working across the stack as 'full-stack' ML Engineers.
  • Responsibilities include designing and deploying machine learning algorithms for various use cases such as e-commerce, consumer trends, markets, logistics, and new products.
  • Engineers will work with real-world consumer data for tasks like natural language processing, image classification, time series analysis, outlier detection, and user modeling.
  • The position involves handling large unstructured data and impacting millions of users through the work done.
  • Engineers are expected to build frameworks, tools, and methodologies to amplify the efforts of data science and data team members.
  • Providing thought leadership through high-quality write-ups, reviews, and a strong vision based on practical experience and industry insights is also a key aspect of the role.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess strong machine learning skills.
  • Fluency in Python, PyTorch, TensorFlow, Pandas, NumPy, and other machine learning packages is required.
  • Data engineering skills and experience with large data (TB) in a production setting are necessary, including building data pipelines using cutting-edge tools like Spark.
  • A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in shipping models to production across various problem spaces (e.g., user modeling, spam classification, prediction, clustering) is required.
  • An MS in Computer Science, Statistics, Math, Science (physical or social), Engineering, or a similar quantitative field, along with 5+ years of industry experience, is needed.
  • Strong software engineering and coding skills with the ability to write production-quality code are essential.
  • A solid understanding of probability, statistics, machine learning, and algorithms is required.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Linux and shell scripting is required.
  • Previous startup experience is strongly preferred.
