Key responsibilities include building, testing, and deploying software continuously, collaborating with PMs and Product Designers, creating technical specs and testing plans, working with internal customers to solve problems, mentoring teammates, shaping the future of engineering at Pilot, and supporting software and services as needed.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience as a software engineer.
Experience with Python in a production environment is required.
The ability to work collaboratively across functions is essential.
Strong written, verbal, and technical communication skills are necessary.
Candidates should be able to write well-structured, well-tested, and maintainable code.
A demonstrated ability to mentor and teach others is important.
Additionally, candidates with specialties or backgrounds in accounting, fintech, and related fields are of interest.

The base pay range for the role is $125,000 - $211,000 in most remote locations, and $156,000 - $211,000 in San Francisco, CA and New York City, NY, with final offers depending on various factors.
