CyberSource Corporation, a Visa Inc. company, is seeking a Sr. Software Engineer in Foster City, CA.
The role involves being an integral part of a cross-functional development team that invents, designs, builds, and tests software assets.
Responsibilities include collaborating with product owners, architects, test engineers, dev-ops, operations, and other team members from product ideation to production deployment and support of software solutions.
The position requires full-stack development, contributing to backend database design, API creation and consumption, and frontend UI development.
The engineer will work independently to develop software that meets Visa’s high standards of security, quality, performance, resiliency, and compliance.
The role includes creating design artifacts and collaborating with senior team members for reviews and adjustments.
The engineer will support test engineers and operations teams in troubleshooting, defect research, issue root cause analysis, and related activities.
Participation in all Agile Scrum Ceremonies and whiteboarding sessions is expected.
The position reports to the Employer’s Foster City, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Requirements:
A Master’s degree in Computer Science, Project Management, or a related field is required.
Experience in Spring Technologies is necessary.
Knowledge of Security and Authentication standards and technologies, including OAuth, is required.
Candidates must have experience building Hypermedia-based REST APIs.
Proficiency in JavaScript and front-end technologies/frameworks such as JQuery, ReactJS, or Angular is essential.
Ability to create flow diagrams and articulate design or code flow understanding is required.
Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes is necessary.
Experience with Oracle or Hadoop is required.
Knowledge of network architecture, VIPS, and Firewalls is essential.
Proficiency in Java, J2EE, and Vertx is required.
Benefits:
The estimated salary range for this position is $155,605.00 to $182,300.00 per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments.
Salary may vary based on job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, experience, and location.
