Remote Sr. Support Engineer

• Key responsibilities include serving as the final point of escalation for advanced technical support, providing support to diverse audiences, taking ownership of customer support experiences, driving customer success with the Azure platform, offering best practice recommendations, articulating recommendations clearly, and navigating complex customer events.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be fluent in English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• A minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer-facing or customer support role is required, with strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
• At least 2 years' experience with SQL Server or a similar database product is necessary.
• Solid knowledge of performance tuning, database design, and T-SQL language is required.
• Experience in capacity planning, sizing SQL Server environments, and configuring high availability solutions is essential.
• Candidates must be able to meet customer and/or government security screening requirements for the role.
• Industry experience with Microsoft Server products, network connectivity, UNIX or other operating systems, and database migration to the cloud or SQL Server version upgrades is preferred.
• Experience in creating technical documentation and sharing knowledge through training and mentoring is required.
• Additional beneficial experience includes knowledge of containers (Docker, Kubernetes), big data technologies (Apache Spark), machine learning (SparkSQL, Java, Scala, Python), various data sources (MongoDB, Cloudera), monitoring tools (Collectd, Grafana), and familiarity with Linux script-based development environments.
