ServiceNow is seeking a Staff Agentic Software Engineer to lead the design and engineering of next-generation human–AI experiences within the Global Cloud Services OODP Team.
This role focuses on building intuitive, trustworthy, and adaptive interfaces for AI-powered Observability products.
The Staff-level contributor will drive strategy, design, and execution of AI-powered observability products, shaping user interactions with agentic AI systems.
Responsibilities include leading the design and development of AI-powered user experiences, partnering with global teams for product design and implementation, defining best practices across the development cycle, researching emerging technologies, collaborating with stakeholders, and mentoring teams on agentic UX principles.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in integrating AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving, including using AI-powered tools and automating workflows.
Proven experience in designing and delivering AI-powered user experiences, including conversation design and LLM integration, is required.
Hands-on expertise with AI orchestration frameworks and building workflows for agentic systems is necessary.
Strong knowledge of UX principles and their application to autonomous AI agents is essential.
A minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or 6 years with a Master's degree in UI/UX engineering is required, along with proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern UI frameworks.
Strong skills in CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and cloud-native deployment are necessary.
Excellent troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimization skills in distributed environments are required.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder communication skills are essential, with the ability to influence product direction.
Preferred qualifications include a statistical background for designing ML systems, a solid data background with RDBMS and TSDB, and experience in enterprise software design of data visualization or observability products.
