The Staff Backend Engineer will lead the transformation of the product into a scalable platform capable of serving millions of users.
The role involves crafting a strategic plan and roadmap to scale the tech stack by 10x and potentially 20x.
Responsibilities include leading a cross-functional team to build a highly performant, intuitive, and secure client experience for Atticus clients, lawyers, and internal teams.
The engineer will collaborate with the VP of Engineering, COO, and Director of Product, while working across various teams including product, design, lawyer network, client experience, and marketing.
Requirements:
The candidate must help design, build, and operate Atticus’ APIs with a focus on performance and reliability.
They should plan roadmaps 3-6 months ahead while being engaged in week-to-week operations.
The role requires evaluating storage technologies and methodologies for scalability and performance.
The engineer must architect, design, review, and test code in a collaborative environment with other software engineers.
They should leverage their team to create excellent products and services and train other technical leaders on the team.
Bonus qualifications include having been the best engineer in the room, leading successful engineering teams for critical products, and having over 5 years of experience in leading engineering teams.
A passion for fostering career growth, operational excellence, and collaboration with product and design teams is also desired.
