The position is for a Staff Backend Engineer focusing on Grafana Databases Pyroscope, an open-source continuous profiling database.
The role involves implementing distributed systems to manage profile ingestion and queries effectively.
Responsibilities include collaborating with the team to deliver new features, leading projects from concept to implementation, and ensuring system reliability, performance, and availability.
The engineer will participate in on-call rotations, support and mentor team members, and engage in design discussions.

Requirements:
Candidates must have solid experience with at least one programming language, preferably Go, but familiarity with Python, C, C++, Rust, or similar languages is acceptable.
Experience in delivering projects from gathering requirements to shipping products in a self-driven manner is required.
Strong experience in designing and developing software for the Cloud or systems engineering is necessary.
Candidates should have experience writing clean, robust, and maintainable software.
Experience with on-call responsibilities and operations/SRE tasks or infrastructure as code is required.
Solid experience with distributed systems and working with Kubernetes is essential.
Nice to have: experience using Grafana and Prometheus, exposure to microservices architecture, and backend database experience.
