As a Staff Backend Engineer at Tango, you will build a workflow intelligence platform to significantly enhance team productivity and improve work processes.
You will be a vital member of a diverse team working with a modern tech stack that includes serverless cloud architecture such as Appsync, CDK, Lambda, GraphQL, and DynamoDB.
This role allows you to have a substantial impact on the product roadmap while collaborating directly with the founders and senior team members from notable companies like Uber, Amazon, and Slack.
Your responsibilities will include leading the design and execution of large-scale system architectures, driving technical strategy, and implementing scalable backend systems to support Tango's growth.
You will mentor the engineering team, implement best practices, and manage the full lifecycle of your code from development to production.
The position is fully remote and based in the US.
Requirements:
You must have over 10 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a strong emphasis on backend development and database management.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to problem-solving are essential.
A passion for leading and developing a team of senior engineers is required.
You should have a strong focus on quality and performance measurement, including writing necessary tests for your code.
Expertise in managing technical debt and a product sense to influence what and how to build is necessary.
A continuous learning mindset and eagerness to acquire new skills are crucial for this role.
