The role is for a Marketing Data Engineering Lead (Staff Engineer) reporting to the Head of Data Engineering in the Data Engineering team.
The purpose of the role is to design and own the technical foundation that proves and improves marketing ROI at Booksy.
The engineer will transform complex data from ad platforms, CRM, and automation tools into a trusted marketing data mart, serving as the single source of truth for measuring performance, enabling attribution, and powering personalized campaigns.
Responsibilities include building and maintaining data pipelines that ingest complex marketing and advertising platform APIs such as Google Ads, Meta Ads, TikTok, AppsFlyer, and Iterable.
The role requires strong SQL skills and mastery of Dataform, with experience in designing clean, performant, modular data models that support attribution and funnel analysis.
Deep experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly BigQuery, is necessary, including cost- and performance-optimized schema design.
Advanced knowledge of Customer Data Platforms (Segment.io) is required, including event stream management, identity resolution, and building a “Golden Profile.”
Hands-on experience designing and implementing Reverse ETL pipelines to activate customer data in marketing systems like Iterable or CRMs is essential.
Strong collaboration skills are needed to partner with architects and stakeholders to translate business needs into scalable data systems.
Experience mentoring engineers and setting high standards for data quality, testing, and documentation is expected.
Conversational level English language skills are required for effective communication within the company.
