The Staff Data Engineer will design and develop the new Identity Graph project, which is a greenfield initiative forming the foundation of all Socure products.
This role involves collaboration with a team of talented data and backend engineers to advance Socure’s identity infrastructure.
The work will directly impact the scalability, reliability, and performance of solutions critical to Socure’s success, with high visibility and backing from the CEO, CTO, and CPO.
Responsibilities include leading architectural design, providing mentorship, establishing best practices, designing solutions with modern data technologies, implementing testing frameworks, owning ETL pipeline development, overseeing API development, ensuring compliance with legal and security requirements, and communicating technical concepts effectively.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8-10+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
Expertise in building large-scale data solutions in modern cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure is required.
Proficiency in programming languages including Python, SQL, and one or more of Java, Scala, or Go is necessary.
Strong experience with data lakes, data warehouses, and streaming frameworks like Apache Spark, Kafka, or Flink is essential.
Hands-on experience with graph databases and algorithms, such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or OrientDB, is required.
A strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and data structures is needed.
Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture is important.
Candidates should be well-versed in developing highly available, scalable low latency online systems.
Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is also required.
