Collaboration with analytics and business stakeholders is essential to improve data ingestion, modeling, and access.
The engineer will optimize infrastructure with a focus on automation, scalability, and performance.
Management of secure data warehousing environments, such as Snowflake, is required to ensure reliable access to large datasets.
The role includes producing technical documentation, including architecture designs, runbooks, and engineering best practices.
Requirements:
Candidates must have at least 8 years of experience in data infrastructure or data engineering.
Proficiency in Python and SQL is required; experience with Java is a plus.
A minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience with DBT and Snowflake is necessary.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of experience working with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like CDK or Terraform.
Familiarity with a wide range of AWS services, including Lambda, Glue, RDS, Step Functions, DMS, EMR, and EKS, is required.
Experience with big data platforms/tools such as Kafka, Hive, Spark, Hadoop, Cassandra, or Airflow is essential.
A strong understanding of relational and NoSQL databases in production settings is necessary.
Candidates should have a solid grounding in algorithms, data structures, and design patterns.
Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, along with the ability to work in fast-paced and ambiguous environments.
Experience with CI/CD practices and mentoring fellow engineers is preferred.

The base salary ranges from $221,000 to $237,000 for candidates in NY/NJ/CA, and $199,000 to $213,000 for candidates in other states.
