The Staff Data Governance & Quality Specialist will drive strategy and execution across governance frameworks, data quality programs, and metadata tooling.
This role involves serving as a product owner for internal data governance platforms and partnering with cross-functional teams to align on compliance and ownership standards.

Responsibilities include executing data governance strategy, managing data quality, overseeing governance tooling, ensuring cross-functional alignment, managing metadata and lineage, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of data stewardship.
Requirements:
Candidates must have experience in leveraging AI for work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
A minimum of 8 years of experience in data governance, data quality, or metadata management in a fast-paced tech or SaaS environment is required, or a Master's degree with 6+ years of experience, or a PhD with 3 years of experience.
Strong experience working cross-functionally with engineering, analytics, product, and legal teams is essential.
Proficiency in SQL and Python, along with practical experience using Snowflake for data processing and transformation, is required.
Candidates should be skilled in reporting and dashboard creation using Power BI.
A deep understanding of data governance principles and frameworks is necessary.
Demonstrated experience in implementing and monitoring data quality programs at scale is required.
Candidates must possess a strong initiative and ownership mindset, with the ability to drive progress independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for influencing a wide range of stakeholders.
