The company is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to serve as the AI & LLM Technical Lead, preferably located near their Seattle headquarters for a hybrid work schedule.
The role involves driving the development and deployment of AI solutions to enhance operational efficiency and market differentiation.
Responsibilities include leading model development and deployment, assessing emerging AI technologies, guiding technical discussions, and managing AI project prioritization and planning.
The candidate will work closely with ML Ops Engineers, Data Engineers, and cross-functional teams to integrate AI solutions into workflows such as asset onboarding and client reporting.
The position requires a blend of technical expertise in Data Science and LLMs with a focus on achieving clear business outcomes.
Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in productionizing machine learning models, including end-to-end deployment and maintenance in production environments is required.
Recent hands-on experience in fine-tuning and deploying Large Language Models (LLMs) within a business context is essential.
A solid foundation in Data Science and deep learning techniques, with direct experience in developing and operationalizing AI/LLM solutions is necessary.
Strong software engineering skills, particularly in Python, and proven capability in building robust, production-level data pipelines and AI integrations are required.
A Master's degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or another quantitative discipline is mandatory.
Proven ability to collaborate closely with ML Ops Engineers and Data Engineering teams, preferably with experience using cloud platforms such as AWS, Databricks, Docker, and Kubernetes is needed.
Demonstrated effectiveness in fast-paced, growth-stage environments with dynamic priorities and evolving structures is essential.
