  • Pearl Health is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to develop and implement advanced analytical solutions that enhance patient care and healthcare delivery.
  • The role involves designing and building scalable systems for clinical signal analysis, predicting beneficiary acuity, measuring intervention impact, and analyzing value-based care performance.
  • Responsibilities include architecting data pipelines, evaluating and deploying machine learning methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, establishing technical standards, mentoring other data scientists, and providing technical leadership in data infrastructure.
  • The Staff Data Scientist will approach work with curiosity and creativity, serving as a thought partner to improve clinical and financial outcomes.

Requirements:

  • A graduate degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline, along with 8+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, preferably in healthcare.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
  • Experience in designing and building scalable data science systems and infrastructure is required.
  • A deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical inference, and causal analysis is necessary.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Experience working in a cloud platform environment, with familiarity in AWS, Sagemaker, dbt, and Snowflake being a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while balancing insights with timely delivery.
  • Prior experience with healthcare data and familiarity with healthcare terminologies and data standards is preferred but not essential.
  • Experience mentoring and collaborating with data professionals to foster a strong data culture is required.

Benefits:

  • The expected salary range for this position is between $160,000-$180,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
