Pearl Health is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to develop and implement advanced analytical solutions that enhance patient care and healthcare delivery.
The role involves designing and building scalable systems for clinical signal analysis, predicting beneficiary acuity, measuring intervention impact, and analyzing value-based care performance.
Responsibilities include architecting data pipelines, evaluating and deploying machine learning methodologies, collaborating with cross-functional teams, establishing technical standards, mentoring other data scientists, and providing technical leadership in data infrastructure.
The Staff Data Scientist will approach work with curiosity and creativity, serving as a thought partner to improve clinical and financial outcomes.
Requirements:
A graduate degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, applied mathematics, computer science, or a related discipline, along with 8+ years of experience in quantitative analysis, preferably in healthcare.
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL, with experience in data manipulation, statistical modeling, and machine learning.
Experience in designing and building scalable data science systems and infrastructure is required.
A deep understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical inference, and causal analysis is necessary.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills are essential for conveying complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience working in a cloud platform environment, with familiarity in AWS, Sagemaker, dbt, and Snowflake being a plus.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders while balancing insights with timely delivery.
Prior experience with healthcare data and familiarity with healthcare terminologies and data standards is preferred but not essential.
Experience mentoring and collaborating with data professionals to foster a strong data culture is required.
Benefits:
The expected salary range for this position is between $160,000-$180,000 per year, with eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus.
