Experian is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team in a remote capacity.
The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support the software development lifecycle.
Responsibilities include designing scalable, secure, and available infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
The engineer will develop CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
Automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is required.
Monitoring system performance, availability, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or the ELK stack is part of the job.
The engineer will collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
Implementing and enforcing security best practices, including secrets management, access control, and vulnerability scanning, is essential.
Participation in on-call rotations and incident response efforts is expected.
The role includes mentoring junior DevOps engineers and contributing to team knowledge sharing.
Requirements:
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
Strong experience with the AWS platform is necessary.
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or YAML is required.
Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
A deep understanding of networking, security, and system administration is required.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools is necessary.
Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies is expected.
