  • Experian is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer to join their engineering team in a remote capacity.
  • The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines that support the software development lifecycle.
  • Responsibilities include designing scalable, secure, and available infrastructure on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • The engineer will develop CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or GitHub Actions.
  • Automation of infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible is required.
  • Monitoring system performance, availability, and security using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, or the ELK stack is part of the job.
  • The engineer will collaborate with development teams to optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues across the stack.
  • Implementing and enforcing security best practices, including secrets management, access control, and vulnerability scanning, is essential.
  • Participation in on-call rotations and incident response efforts is expected.
  • The role includes mentoring junior DevOps engineers and contributing to team knowledge sharing.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
  • Candidates must have 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, or related roles.
  • Strong experience with the AWS platform is necessary.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or YAML is required.
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes is essential.
  • A deep understanding of networking, security, and system administration is required.
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools is necessary.
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies is expected.
