LILT is seeking a world-class DevOps Engineer to build highly reliable software systems.
The role involves applying software talents to infrastructure and operations needs, including bare-metal Linux deployments and commercial deployments in GCP and AWS.
The engineer will continuously improve multi-region configurations to ensure low latency worldwide and help expand into new regions.
Responsibilities include supporting technical operations in development and production systems, delivering infrastructure engineering projects, collaborating with research and development teams, securing platform infrastructure, ensuring high uptime and performance, and contributing to infrastructure and engineering roadmap planning.
The position is based out of the Washington D.C. metropolitan area (or Annapolis Junction, MD) and will start as fully remote, transitioning to hybrid once offices are opened.
Requirements:
The candidate must have and maintain an active TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph and satisfy other security-related requirements.
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Linux System Administrator, DevOps Engineer, or in a similar position is required.
Strong knowledge of at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Bash) is necessary.
High proficiency with at least one configuration management/infrastructure as code (IaC) tool, preferably Terraform, is required.
Experience with GCP services such as Compute Engine, shared VPC, and data analytics or equivalents from other vendors is essential.
A solid understanding of Docker and hands-on experience with orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes or Swarm is needed.
Expertise in monitoring/alerting and maintaining high production availability is required.
Experience with CI/CD tools and concepts, such as Jenkins, is necessary.
Preferred, but not required: Experience in DevSecOps best practices, MLOps, GCP Landzone, and/or DB administration.
