Braze is seeking a Staff Fullstack Engineer to join their Data Division, reporting directly to the Division Director of Engineering.
The role involves being a hands-on technical leader for the Product Partnerships team and contributing to the architecture, scalability, and performance of critical data services, products, and pipelines.
Responsibilities include architecting and building large-scale systems that handle massive data volumes in real time, mentoring engineers on best practices, collaborating with other teams to ensure effective integration of data systems, continuously optimizing data platforms, and refining operational procedures to maximize system stability.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 7+ years of professional experience in software engineering, including hands-on work in full-stack development or back-end services, particularly with high-scale systems.
A proven track record of building foundational data-driven systems at scale is required, including experience with streaming, real-time pipelines, or large-scale analytical platforms.
Candidates should possess technical leadership skills, including driving architectural direction, scoping large efforts, and managing technical debt, along with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively.
Bonus skills include familiarity with Ruby, Ruby on Rails, React, experience with databases like MongoDB and Snowflake, and knowledge of cloud technologies such as Kubernetes, Confluent/Kafka, and AWS, GCP, or Azure.
