Remote Staff Engineer, QA Manual (Banking and Insurance)

• The position is for a Staff Engineer in QA Manual, specifically in the Banking and Insurance sectors.
• The role requires a total experience of 7+ years in manual testing of complex applications.
• Candidates must have hands-on experience in the Core Banking and Insurance domains.
• Strong experience in API testing (REST) using tools like Postman or Swagger is essential.
• A deep understanding of UI testing principles and cross-browser/platform testing is required.
• Experience with test management tools such as TestRail, Zephyr, Jira ETL Testing, and TM4J is necessary.
• Proficiency in IBM Rational Quality Manager or Micro Focus ALM, QAComplete is expected.
• Candidates should have hands-on experience in database testing, defect management, mobile testing, and test case automation.
• A strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and the defect life cycle is required.
• Proficiency in defect tracking tools such as Jira, Bugzilla, or Azure DevOps is necessary.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies is important.
• Basic knowledge of databases and the ability to write and execute SQL queries for test validations is required.
• Exposure to Confluence, Git, and Jenkins is a plus.
• Responsibilities include understanding project requirements, interacting with clients, preparing test plans, estimating test efforts, risk management, designing automated testing frameworks, preparing test reports, communicating quality metrics, participating in retrospectives, conducting demos, reviewing testing artifacts, and prioritizing defects.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of total experience in manual testing is required.
• Strong experience in manual testing of complex applications is essential.
