The role is for a Staff or Lead Frontend Engineer who will drive frontend architecture, lead technical decision-making, and grow the frontend discipline at Synthflow.
The position involves being a strong individual contributor (80%) while also leading and mentoring the frontend team (20%).
Responsibilities include leading the architecture and development of the frontend platform using React, TypeScript, and Tailwind, owning the frontend technical roadmap, collaborating with backend and infrastructure teams, building interactive features, mentoring other engineers, shaping cross-functional planning, maintaining quality through testing, and prioritizing fast shipping without compromising quality.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience building modern web applications, with deep expertise in React and TypeScript.
A proven track record of leading architecture and driving technical direction is required.
A passion for UI/UX detail, performance, and clean code is essential.
Experience mentoring engineers and fostering a culture of engineering excellence is necessary.
A startup mindset is important, with the ability to move fast, think independently, and own outcomes.
Experience with cloud platforms (GCP or AWS) and modern CI/CD workflows is required.
