• Responsibilities include collaborating with designers, product teams, data scientists, QA, and other engineers to deliver AI-powered user experiences.
• The engineer will lead projects from start to finish and iterate quickly on projects using the full web technology stack.
• The position requires a champion for user experience and sustainable code practices, as well as representation in strategic planning sessions.
• The engineer will also coach and mentor new hires to help grow the team.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be available for meetings during Quora's coordination hours (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time).
• A minimum of 6 years of full-time professional full-stack experience in building user-facing consumer web products is required.
• At least 5 years of professional experience with React, Typescript, and GraphQL is necessary.
• Candidates should have 5 years of experience in Python or a similar programming language.
• Professional experience with backend storage systems such as MySQL, MyRocks, Memcached, or Redis is required.
• A passion for Poe and Quora’s products and mission is preferred.
