Remote Staff Identity Engineer

Description:

• Tide is building a business management platform aimed at saving small businesses time and money, providing business accounts and related banking services along with administrative solutions.
• Launched in 2017, Tide serves over 1 million small businesses globally and is available to SMEs in the UK, India, and Germany.
• The Tide Security Engineering team consists of three core areas: Product Security, Identity, and Threat Detection & Response.
• The Identity team is responsible for managing identity across Tide, including Okta management and modern access control patterns.
• As a Staff Identity Engineer, you will champion identity management, integrate new applications with Okta, and create Just-in-Time access rules.
• You will collaborate with business and technology teams to implement least-privilege access controls and ensure adherence to best practices in identity management.
• The role involves automating inefficient processes to streamline identity management workflows.

Requirements:

• Strong expertise with modern Identity Providers such as Okta or similar platforms is required.
• A deep understanding of authentication protocols such as OAuth 2.0, SAML, and OIDC is necessary.
• Strong hands-on experience writing Terraform is essential for this position.
• Experience in scripting and automation to solve complex identity challenges is required; having a repository showcasing your work is a bonus.
• A passion for mentoring and sharing knowledge with your team is important.
• A hands-on attitude and the ability to drive solutions to completion are essential.
• Excellent spoken and written communication skills are required for effective collaboration.
