DoorDash is seeking an experienced Staff Machine Learning Engineer to develop advanced machine learning models for pricing, selection, affordability, and growth strategies.
The role involves leveraging robust data and machine learning infrastructure to create sophisticated ML systems that implement innovative AI solutions.
Responsibilities include developing ML-driven systems to ensure fair pricing across restaurant selections, optimizing deals and promotions, and collaborating with engineering and product leaders to shape product roadmaps.
The engineer will own the complete modeling lifecycle, which includes feature creation, deployment, experimentation, monitoring, explainability, and maintenance.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of industry experience in developing and leading advanced machine learning initiatives with measurable business impact and production-deployed solutions.
A Master's or Ph.D. in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Operations Research, Physics, Economics, or another quantitative field is required.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary for this position.
Strong technical expertise in Python, Spark, and PyTorch for machine learning applications is essential.
Experience with statistics, causal inference, multi-objective optimization, or deep learning is preferred.
