Remote Staff QA Engineer

Description:

• LILT is seeking a Staff QA Engineer to join their team, focusing on the development and maintenance of automated test scripts for the LILT platform.
• The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts that cover API testing, UI testing, and performance testing.
• The Staff QA Engineer will collaborate closely with development and QA teams to understand requirements and identify areas for automation.
• Responsibilities include executing automated tests, analyzing results, generating comprehensive reports, and triaging and resolving automated test failures.
• The position also requires performing manual testing of new features and functionality, including exploratory and regression testing.
• The engineer will document and maintain a database of known test cases for all application features and contribute to the software release process.
• Clear communication of test results and findings to relevant teams is essential.

Requirements:

• A solid understanding of software testing principles and methodologies is essential for this position.
• Candidates must have the ability to create effective test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/Typescript is required, as test cases will primarily be built on Playwright, Cypress, and JEST frameworks.
• An understanding and proficiency with various automation frameworks, particularly Playwright, Cypress, and/or JEST, is crucial.
• Experience with Git and GitHub is necessary.
• Proficiency with Jenkins or other Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery tools is required.
• Candidates should have an understanding of API testing concepts and experience with API testing tools like Postman.
• Experience with load or performance testing using tools like Grafana K6 is preferred.
• A basic understanding of an RDBMS and SQL is necessary.
• Clear and concise communication skills are essential for effective collaboration with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
