Remote Staff QA Software Engineer

• The company is seeking a Staff QA Software Engineer to join their Innovation team, which prototypes Spatial Web technologies and AI applications.
• The role involves driving test automation with clear metrics, building test automation into CICD pipelines, and creating various types of automated tests including Unit, Integration, Regression, Performance, Load, and End to End.
• The engineer will learn the technical details of the product to ensure proper test code coverage and deliver metrics to stakeholders.
• Responsibilities include developing strategies to ensure high quality, overseeing risk management, mentoring team members, and collaborating with cross-functional teams for quality assurance.
• The engineer will create and maintain software engineering test plans, ensure proper QA documentation, and suggest tools and processes for bug-free software releases.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have at least 10 years of experience in SaaS or a similar industry, focusing on enterprise-scale applications.
• Proficiency in modern testing frameworks such as Cucumber, Playwright, and Selenium is required.
• Experience in developing comprehensive test plans from OpenAPI specifications and creating various types of automated tests is essential.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is necessary.
• Understanding of web technologies and standards, including REST/CRUD, HTTP, DNS, and web security is required.
• Candidates should be comfortable with programming languages used at VERSES, such as Python, Typescript, and Rust.
• Additional qualifications include experience with pub/sub technologies, IoT and edge computing, agile methodologies, and strong probabilistic statistical experience.
• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related practical experience is required.
• Understanding of core machine learning and AI concepts is preferred.
