Remote Staff Software Developer

Description:

• Loopio is seeking a Staff Software Developer who enjoys solving complex challenges and is driven by curiosity.
• The role involves building scalable, high-impact solutions and collaborating with Engineers, Product Managers, and Designers.
• Responsibilities include leading the development of end-to-end features for Loopio’s web platform, driving architectural decisions, and gathering customer feedback to create user-centric experiences.
• The position requires mentoring and coaching other engineers, contributing to Loopio’s AI roadmap, and leading technical design discussions.
• The work hours are from 11 am to 7:30 pm IST to accommodate collaboration across teams in Canada, the UK, and India.
• The technology stack includes React, Elasticsearch, Node.js, PHP, Python, MySQL, Flask, Docker, Databricks, AWS, Chef, and Terraform.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 10+ years of professional software development experience.
• A proven track record of designing and delivering complex software systems at scale is required.
• Experience in leading architectural discussions and influencing cross-team technical decisions is essential.
• Strong backend/API experience in PHP, Python, or Java is necessary, along with frontend development skills in React and JavaScript.
• A solid understanding of database design and RDBMS such as MySQL is required.
• Proficiency in designing and using RESTful APIs is necessary.
• Candidates should have experience mentoring other engineers and prior experience as a technical lead is a plus.
• Familiarity with AI technologies, particularly LLMs and modern AI APIs, is highly valuable.
• A passion for improving software development productivity and experience in integrating with third-party systems is preferred.
• Experience with Typescript, AWS, Cypress, and Elasticsearch is a plus.
