The role of Staff Software Engineer involves defining and driving technical strategy across multiple teams or systems, shaping architectural decisions for scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
Responsibilities include leading the design of complex technical solutions, mentoring senior engineers, solving optimization problems, and implementing scalable solutions to improve performance and engineering efficiency.
The tech stack includes Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin, PostgreSQL, and some GraphQL.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 12+ years of software engineering experience.
Strong professional experience using Kotlin is required.
Expertise in Angular or other front-end technologies is necessary.
Candidates should have extensive experience with large-scale Spring Boot architectures.
Proficiency in Google Cloud Platform services, including BigQuery, is essential.
Expertise in designing and building PostgreSQL databases is required.
Candidates must have experience with data pipelines and ETL processes.
Knowledge of GraphQL architecture patterns and implementation is necessary.
Experience in building solutions that leverage LLMs is preferred.
Candidates should be familiar with continuous integration and deployment practices.
Experience in technical risk assessment and mitigation in data-intensive systems is required.
A background in mentoring senior engineers is essential.
