The Staff Software Engineer will lead cross-team technical initiatives for revenue-impacting features in the enterprise cybersecurity platform.
Responsibilities include leading architecture designs, building scalable services and APIs, owning software development initiatives, performing code reviews, mentoring senior engineers, and collaborating with product managers and cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of software development experience with demonstrated leadership on large scale, distributed systems.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as Python, Java, or Go is required.
Ability to develop services using Python 3 (FastAPI/Flask), data modeling (Pydantic/SQLAlchemy/Alembic), and testing (Pytest) on AWS is essential.
Strong experience in designing, implementing, and operating REST APIs at scale is necessary.
Deep expertise in relational and non-relational databases, including table and schema design and migration management, is required.
Extensive experience with software design principles, architectural patterns, and best practices is needed.
Hands-on experience with AWS services (e.g., Lambda, SQS, ECS, and EKS) and containerized deployments is required.
Experience leading projects with a team of engineers and managing resources to meet delivery deadlines is essential.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for effective teamwork.
Some experience with LLMs and implementing standard patterns (Agents, RAG, Tools) is preferred.
