Responsibilities include architecting data platform infrastructure services on Snowflake and AWS using Python, Go, and Kubernetes for environment management, lifecycle automation, and drift detection at scale.
Design security controls including access management, data treatment frameworks, and attribute-based access controls that protect without hindering productivity.
Build governance systems for data provenance, sovereignty enforcement, and automated compliance across jurisdictional boundaries.
Lead large cross-team initiatives to deliver major platform capabilities.
Champion a self-service mindset by designing infrastructure patterns that empower teams to safely provision and manage warehouse resources independently.
Mentor platform engineers to establish engineering excellence practices and a value-driven mindset towards capability development.
Requirements:
You must be a seasoned software engineer with experience building large-scale data warehouse platforms.
Strong hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Go is required.
You should have hands-on experience using AI in coding to drive greater impact.
Experience with AWS architecture is necessary.
You must have led large technical initiatives across multiple engineering teams, balancing strategic planning with hands-on implementation.
Understanding how to architect security and governance controls that protect data assets is essential.
You should excel in a tech lead role that involves both technical implementation and strategic architectural decisions.
A passion for building reliable, secure, and scalable platform infrastructure that empowers data practitioners is important.
You must excel at distilling technical vision from ambiguous requirements and translating complex infrastructure concepts into clear narratives for diverse stakeholders.
Experience with core technologies such as Snowflake, AWS, Python, Go, Kubernetes, and dbt is a plus.
