Color Health is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead the evolution of their platform and developer experience.
The role involves owning and advancing the AWS & Kubernetes-based infrastructure, enabling world-class CI/CD, and collaborating with software, security, and bioinformatics teams.
Responsibilities include leading the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud-native infrastructure on AWS, improving and scaling CI/CD pipelines, driving infrastructure-as-code practices, and developing internal tooling to enhance engineering productivity.
The engineer will mentor and guide other engineers, serve as a technical lead for infrastructure projects, manage database infrastructure, and partner with security and compliance teams to meet industry standards.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 6+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering, with at least 2 years in a staff or lead role.
Deep expertise in Kubernetes & EKS, infrastructure automation, and cloud-native architecture is required.
Strong experience with AWS services, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and databases is essential.
Production experience with CI/CD pipelines, particularly CircleCI, GitHub Actions, and ArgoCD, is necessary.
A solid foundation in Linux systems, container orchestration, and networking is expected.
Experience with monitoring, logging, and on-call practices for high-availability systems is important.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset are required to align platform vision with engineering and business needs.
