Confluent is seeking a technical lead for the Cloud Authentication Platform team within the Product Security organization.
The role involves defining and driving the technical vision of the Cloud Authentication Platform to support authentication needs across Confluent products.
The position requires ensuring a high level of quality and operational excellence within the team.
Responsibilities include leading the technical vision, collaborating with product management and engineering leadership, and driving the overall roadmap.
The role will deliver high impact by driving technical, product, and strategic initiatives related to the Data Streaming Platform, security, reliability, and architectural direction.
The candidate will work with engineering teams on product definition, security, API design, and delivery.
The position also involves influencing the security, health, and operational hygiene of the Product Security Platform.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in software development.
Experience in designing resilient systems at scale in at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required.
A proven track record of reducing complexity and creating enduring technical foundations is essential.
The ability to influence teams, peers, and upper management through effective communication and collaboration is necessary.
Class-leading expertise in Go, C++, Java, or other statically typed languages is required.
Experience with container orchestration technology, specifically Kubernetes, is needed.
A strong track record of timely feature delivery, urgency in achieving results, and excellent prioritization skills is expected.
A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
