Description:

  • Confluent is seeking a technical lead for the Cloud Authentication Platform team within the Product Security organization.
  • The role involves defining and driving the technical vision of the Cloud Authentication Platform to support authentication needs across Confluent products.
  • The position requires ensuring a high level of quality and operational excellence within the team.
  • Responsibilities include leading the technical vision, collaborating with product management and engineering leadership, and driving the overall roadmap.
  • The role will deliver high impact by driving technical, product, and strategic initiatives related to the Data Streaming Platform, security, reliability, and architectural direction.
  • The candidate will work with engineering teams on product definition, security, API design, and delivery.
  • The position also involves influencing the security, health, and operational hygiene of the Product Security Platform.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 12+ years of experience in software development.
  • Experience in designing resilient systems at scale in at least one major cloud service provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required.
  • A proven track record of reducing complexity and creating enduring technical foundations is essential.
  • The ability to influence teams, peers, and upper management through effective communication and collaboration is necessary.
  • Class-leading expertise in Go, C++, Java, or other statically typed languages is required.
  • Experience with container orchestration technology, specifically Kubernetes, is needed.
  • A strong track record of timely feature delivery, urgency in achieving results, and excellent prioritization skills is expected.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.
