Invisible Technologies is seeking a Staff Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) to lead high-impact, AI-powered solutions that transform client workflows.
The role involves driving strategy, architecture, and execution of end-to-end systems while collaborating with client stakeholders and internal teams.
This hybrid position combines responsibilities of an AI architect, hands-on engineer, and technical advisor.
Key responsibilities include partnering with stakeholders to design and implement AI-driven solutions, identifying opportunities in complex workflows, leading architecture discussions, owning projects from discovery to deployment, building shared infrastructure, and mentoring mid-level engineers.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 8+ years of software engineering experience, particularly in building data, ML, or backend systems.
Deep proficiency in Python and experience with ML/LLM frameworks such as Hugging Face, LangChain, OpenAI, and Pinecone is required.
Familiarity with full-stack or API-based deployment patterns, including Docker, FastAPI, Kubernetes, and GCP/AWS, is necessary.
Strong instincts in product and system design are essential, with the ability to translate business needs into technical architecture.
Experience in building usable systems from messy data and ambiguous requirements is required.
Excellent communication and client-facing skills are necessary, with a proven track record of leading discussions with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Candidates must have experience owning projects from scoping through deployment in high-stakes environments.
Willingness to be on-call for customers when needed is required.
Ability to travel 25–50% of the time, including short-notice trips primarily across North America and occasional international travel, is necessary.
A Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, or related fields, or equivalent professional experience, is required.

Invisible offers fair and competitive pay, with annual salary ranges for this position between $208,000 - $245,000 USD, depending on location.
Compensation is adjusted for candidates outside the U.S. to reflect local market conditions and cost-of-living differentials.
