Description:

  • The Lending team is responsible for developing a global Lending platform aimed at being the best in the market.
  • The platform will offer a range of functionalities that are adaptable to any market while being user-friendly, robust, highly scalable, and resilient.
  • The team focuses on best practices and quality to achieve these objectives.
  • Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of projects in Java using AWS services.
  • Participation in technical analysis with product team requirements is expected.
  • The role involves database optimization, primarily with DynamoDB.
  • Understanding and building micro-service and event-driven architecture, as well as solving distributed transaction problems, is required.
  • The position includes helping in collective decisions about the architecture.
  • Execution of Terraform to create or remove new resources on AWS is part of the job.
  • Monitoring applications through logs and metrics using Grafana is also a responsibility.
  • This is a remote position, which may require occasional presence at a Visa office with scheduled notice.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree, or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • At least 5 years of development experience is required, with the majority of that time spent working with Java.
  • Experience with AWS is mandatory, and certification is required.
  • Candidates should have experience with event-driven architectures.
  • Experience in designing architectural solutions is necessary.
  • Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes is required.
  • Experience with testing, including unit, integration, and load testing, is expected.
  • Candidates must be based in The United Kingdom.
