The Lending team is responsible for developing a global Lending platform aimed at being the best in the market.
The platform will offer a range of functionalities that are adaptable to any market while being user-friendly, robust, highly scalable, and resilient.
The team focuses on best practices and quality to achieve these objectives.
Responsibilities include the development and maintenance of projects in Java using AWS services.
Participation in technical analysis with product team requirements is expected.
The role involves database optimization, primarily with DynamoDB.
Understanding and building micro-service and event-driven architecture, as well as solving distributed transaction problems, is required.
The position includes helping in collective decisions about the architecture.
Execution of Terraform to create or remove new resources on AWS is part of the job.
Monitoring applications through logs and metrics using Grafana is also a responsibility.
This is a remote position, which may require occasional presence at a Visa office with scheduled notice.
Requirements:
Candidates must have 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree, or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, or 8+ years of relevant work experience.
At least 5 years of development experience is required, with the majority of that time spent working with Java.
Experience with AWS is mandatory, and certification is required.
Candidates should have experience with event-driven architectures.
Experience in designing architectural solutions is necessary.
Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes is required.
Experience with testing, including unit, integration, and load testing, is expected.
Candidates must be based in The United Kingdom.
