  • The Staff Software Engineer, MLOps at Headspace will be part of the AI Engineering team, focusing on enhancing the company's capabilities in AI and data science.
  • The mission is to empower AI practitioners through productivity-enhancing tooling, contributing to the design and delivery of platforms, frameworks, and services that support Data and AI at Headspace.
  • The role will initially support top Data Scientists but will expand to benefit engineers, analysts, and other AI enthusiasts, democratizing AI across the organization.
  • The position is remote within the United States, and candidates must reside in the US full-time.
  • Responsibilities include taking ownership of impactful initiatives, contributing to ML architecture design in AWS, implementing CI/CD best practices, enhancing tools for ML practitioners, creating self-service and automation tools, designing operational monitoring solutions, and collaborating with team members to elevate technical delivery.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must have 4+ years of experience with AWS, specifically in applying MLOps practices to optimize ML workflows.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and Terraform is required, with at least 3+ years of hands-on experience in modern development and infrastructure management.
  • A minimum of 4 years of software engineering experience is necessary, including work on scalable, production-grade systems in enterprise environments.
  • Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in implementing and maintaining software configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and other lifecycle tools on AWS.
  • Demonstrated success in executing technical initiatives from design to deployment is essential.
  • Experience in developing junior talent and implementing best practices is required.
  • Proven expertise in building robust and reliable services with a focus on operational excellence in production environments is necessary.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and technical communication abilities are required, along with the capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is mandatory.
