NBCUniversal is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (SAP) in the Procure-to-Pay (PTP) area as part of Project Keystone, which aims to build a globally standardized, flexible, and data-driven business platform.
The role involves participating in ABAP Build and Development activities to support the successful business adoption of the new solution.
Responsibilities include participating in project forecasting and planning, maintaining ABAP naming and coding standards, onboarding project resources, reviewing Functional Specifications, providing work effort estimates, suggesting technical designs, completing technical documentation, managing complex technical projects, performing code reviews, supporting testing cycles, ensuring delivery schedule adherence, and mentoring team members.
Requirements:
A degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related discipline with an IT focus, or an equivalent combination of education and training is required.
Candidates must have 6+ years of SAP ABAP engineering experience, including 2+ years in Technical Architecture, with knowledge in various SAP modules and large-scale SAP S/4 transformations.
Experience in transformation projects from SAP ECC to S/4 HANA is necessary.
Candidates should have confirmed ability in traditional ECC development practices and techniques, strong ABAP debugging skills, and experience with S/4 HANA development principles.
Knowledge of SAP Clean Core principles, 3-Tier extensibility model, and experience in migrating custom code to S/4 HANA is required.
Practical experience in creating custom and enhancing standard CDS views, knowledge of OData services, and familiarity with new SAP technologies such as Fiori and SAP BTP Integration Suite are also necessary.
Desired characteristics include flexibility, relevant SAP technical certification, knowledge of Code Performance Rules for SAP HANA, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
