• The Staff Software Engineer, Treasury position is a remote role based in the United States.
• This role involves leading technical development and strategic initiatives within a fast-growing payments environment.
• The engineer will work on backend systems that manage complex fund flows, ensuring high reliability, correctness, and scalability.
• Responsibilities include maintaining and enhancing backend services that manage the flow of funds, including ledger, ACH, and wire infrastructure.
• The engineer will develop new features and improvements to serve customer needs while ensuring reliability and minimal technical debt.
• The role requires owning initiatives end-to-end, from planning through launch, while keeping stakeholders informed and aligned.
• The engineer will lead system and process improvements within the team and across engineering.
• Participation in on-call rotations to support production systems is expected.
• Mentoring, sponsoring, and empowering team members to foster growth and collaboration is a key responsibility.
• The engineer will drive strategic planning alongside engineering and product leadership.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have 8+ years of experience delivering production-quality code in fast-paced environments.
• Strong distributed systems design skills and instincts are required.
• Proven ability to manage large cross-functional projects across engineering, product, and operations teams is essential.
• Candidates should demonstrate the ability to turn complex requirements into scalable software solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a commitment to empathy and inclusion, are necessary.
• A growth mindset and continuous learning orientation are important for this role.
• An interest in the fintech and payments space is preferred.
• Expertise in Python or similar backend technologies for distributed systems is required.
