Remote Staff Software Engineer

Description:

• Vantage is a cloud cost visibility and optimization platform, also known as a FinOps platform, helping companies manage their cloud infrastructure costs.
• The company serves a diverse range of clients, from individual developers to Fortune 500 companies, and has a team of approximately 50 employees based in the US, with a focus on New York City.
• The role involves working with a team of product engineers responsible for shipping features across the Vantage product, including core reporting, new provider integrations, and onboarding/billing.
• Responsibilities include collaborating with leadership on feature discovery, leading and mentoring engineers, guiding technical architecture decisions, owning end-to-end feature development, and participating in customer calls for user insights.

Requirements:

• Candidates must be product-oriented software engineers with a passion for customer satisfaction.
• A minimum of 10 years of overall experience is required, including at least 5 years of experience leading a team of engineers in feature development.
• Candidates should be generalists comfortable working on both frontend and backend tasks.
• Preference for simple solutions and designs, with an intuition for scalable architectures.
• Experience in leading impactful engineering projects and building scalable architectures is essential.
• Expertise in Ruby on Rails is required.
• A BA/BS degree and 3-5 years of equivalent working experience are necessary.
• Candidates should be excited to deliver quickly and take on significant responsibility.
• A kind demeanor is also a requirement.

• The estimated annual US base salary range for this role is $200,000 - $230,000, which may vary based on experience, qualifications, and location.
