Mirantis is seeking a talented Sustaining Engineer with experience in Golang, Docker, Kubernetes, and public clouds to maintain and evolve the Containers platform.
The role involves joining the Sustaining Engineering team and working on technologies such as Mirantis Kubernetes Engine, Mirantis Secure Registry, and Mirantis Container Runtime.
The ideal candidate should be a friendly and effective communicator, interested in solving complex problems and ensuring high customer satisfaction through help content and ticket interactions.
Responsibilities include becoming an expert in Mirantis Cloud Native Platform technologies, researching software patch requirements, designing and developing features in Golang, creating help content, and performing audits for the knowledge management system.
The engineer will partner with product and solution experts, apply advanced troubleshooting techniques, engage with product engineering teams, build customer reproducer environments, diagnose issues, and drive technical post-mortems.
Requirements:
A BS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience is required.
Candidates must have 4+ years of combined experience in Software Development, Technical Support, or Sustaining Engineering.
Knowledge of the Go programming language is a must.
Candidates must also have knowledge of Kubernetes and Docker.
Experience in designing and implementing REST APIs is required.
Familiarity with Linux distributions such as RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu, and SLES is necessary.
The ability to perform code-level analysis of complex issues is essential.
Extensive experience troubleshooting remote Linux system issues is required.
