Remote System Reliability Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking a passionate and exceptional reliability engineer to join our dynamic team and help transform the homecare industry.
• The role involves ownership and responsibility, with a focus on identifying problems and proposing and implementing solutions.
• Candidates should have strong experience with Ruby on Rails, particularly in production SaaS systems.
• A deep knowledge of background job processing (such as Sidekiq), caching, and distributed systems is required.
• Proven experience in improving CI/CD pipelines is essential, with familiarity in CircleCI and potential for migration.
• The candidate should be comfortable designing and improving observability stacks, including tools like New Relic, Datadog, and Honeycomb.
• Experience in building resilient systems, including retries, back-offs, queueing, circuit breakers, graceful degradation, and kill switches, is necessary.
• A strong focus on developer ergonomics and reliability culture is expected.
• The role requires a bias toward action and delivering tools that enhance system behavior and developer happiness.
