The candidate should be comfortable designing and improving observability stacks, including tools like New Relic, Datadog, and Honeycomb.
Experience in building resilient systems, including retries, back-offs, queueing, circuit breakers, graceful degradation, and kill switches, is necessary.
A strong focus on developer ergonomics and reliability culture is expected.
The role requires a bias toward action and delivering tools that enhance system behavior and developer happiness.
