Remote Systems Engineer (Rust)

Description:

• You will own critical components of Backpack’s backend infrastructure written in Rust.
• You will design and implement low-level systems with an emphasis on safety and performance.
• You will collaborate closely with product, infrastructure, and security teams to build robust and reliable systems.
• You will proactively identify bottlenecks, security issues, and performance improvements.

Requirements:

• You must have at least 3+ years of experience writing production-level Rust.
• You should have a deep understanding of systems programming, including memory management, concurrency, and networking.
• You need to have experience building high-performance services and tooling from scratch.
• You must be obsessive about code quality, performance, and security.
• You should be very fluent in English.
