  • You will be working as an Engineering Manager as a part of our Technology & Engineering division, which is now composed of 75+ people in Nigeria, France, Germany, Poland, Turkey, and remotely across the globe.
  • We are growing our Engineering organization to excellence across multiple regions and are looking for smart, talented, and driven engineering leaders.
  • This is a unique opportunity to lead one of our core engineering teams at a time of fast growth.
  • Reporting directly to the head of engineering in a business unit, we are looking for an engineering manager that has ideally come from a Backend software engineering career.
  • The role is remote.
  • You will be responsible for scaling and leading our globally distributed software engineering teams (Backend).
  • You will put processes in place to ensure high quality and timely delivery of team engineering objectives.
  • You will manage and contribute at times in our quest to build scalable infrastructure while limiting technical debt at all times.
  • You will look at engineering solutions through the lens of efficiency, quality, and velocity.

Requirements:

  • You must have 6 - 8 years of experience in backend development, mostly with .NET (C#).
  • You should have one significant work experience managing and leading a software engineering team.
  • You need to have an Engineering or University Diploma in computer science, or be self-taught with 5 years of experience in computer engineering.
  • You must be able to code in a backend language (Golang, C#).
  • You should have an understanding of Azure or AWS cloud providers.
  • You need to understand the overall architecture and function of how multiple technology teams work together to build systems.
  • You must excel at troubleshooting.
  • You should be hands-on and have experience in architecting scalable solutions.
