Remote Tech Lead Data Engineer

Description:

• We are seeking an experienced Tech Lead Data Engineer to join a high-impact project in the Trading & Supply domain, focused on integrating a trading platform into the European Power portfolio.
• This is a key leadership role, requiring both deep technical expertise and strong stakeholder management skills.
• You will guide a team of Data Engineers and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and efficient data solutions.
• Responsibilities include leading the technical direction and design of data integration solutions, guiding and mentoring a team of Data Engineers, developing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, designing and managing real-time data streaming solutions, ensuring high standards in data architecture, collaborating with business stakeholders, driving innovation, and owning the end-to-end delivery of complex data projects.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a Tech Lead or Senior Data Engineer role within energy trading, commodities, or financial services is required.
• Expert-level skills in Python, Apache Kafka, Databricks, and Azure Functions are necessary.
• Strong experience in designing data architectures and leading end-to-end project implementations is essential.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills are required, with the ability to bridge business and technical perspectives.
• A solid understanding of trading systems and market data is a strong advantage.
