The Tech Lead will join the Accounts Tooling & Automation team, responsible for building and enhancing tooling for the Digital Platform, particularly for the Sales team.
The role involves steering the Engineering Team's technical direction, focusing on security and scalability, and collaborating with various stakeholders to implement systems and processes.
Responsibilities include designing and implementing scalable applications using Node, React, and Typescript, managing third-party system integrations, performing code reviews, and mentoring team members.
The position is remote-first within Canada.
Requirements:
A university degree or college diploma in a recognized technical, vocational, or academic program, or equivalent work experience is required.
Candidates must have 7+ years of experience building complex and scalable APIs, including third-party integrations.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in building front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks is necessary.
At least 2 years of experience in designing scalable and distributed systems is required.
Experience in mentoring other developers is essential.
Extensive full-stack experience with React/Redux/Node/Typescript/MongoDB and JavaScript is required.
Familiarity with the Scrum framework and Agile methodologies is necessary.
Candidates should have experience with DORA metrics and architecting large software systems.
Proficiency with JavaScript development tools like WebPack, Babel, and Storybook is required.
Experience with unit testing frameworks like Jest/Mocha is necessary.
Experience in building and/or working with micro-services and micro front-ends is required.
