Description:

• Assent is seeking a Technical Lead specializing in Python or GoLang to oversee the design system strategy and lead product evolution.
• The role involves solving complex technical challenges with a global impact through a multi-tenant SaaS platform.
• The Technical Lead will work closely with engineering leaders, product managers, and architects to define technical direction and enforce architectural standards.
• Responsibilities include designing and developing RESTful APIs, implementing endpoint logic in Python-based Lambda functions, and ensuring the API layer abstracts backend complexity.
• The position requires collaboration with frontend engineers and data teams to define requirements and integrate the API layer with data architectures.
• The Technical Lead will also implement automated testing strategies and maintain coding standards while mentoring other developers.
• The work environment is a high-trust CI/CD setup where every commit goes to production without a separate QA team.

Requirements:

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience is required.
• Candidates must have 10+ years of experience in front-end development, with at least 4 years focused on Angular.
• Strong expertise in Python, particularly in building modular, serverless applications using AWS Lambda, is essential.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services such as API Gateway, Step Functions, EventBridge, and S3 is required.
• Proven ability to design and implement RESTful APIs and abstract complex backend logic is necessary.
• A strong understanding of Apache Kafka/Amazon Kinesis and a solid foundation in Pandas and Pyspark are required.
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and orchestrating workflows using AWS-native tools is important.
• Experience collaborating across frontend, backend, and data teams to deliver end-to-end functionality is needed.
• Candidates should have strong emphasis on clean architecture, observability, testing, and performance optimization.
• Leadership skills in setting technical direction, mentoring developers, and maintaining code quality at scale are required.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are essential.
